The game started with a park the bus mentality from banco de españa. Fcb attacked relentlessly but couldn’t find a way through a la arsenal. The opposition struck first with a strange goal that came as much of a surprise to then as fcb. Narrow angles from a long ball and the keeper was beaten at the near post. 1-0. The defence was solid and the midfield were dancing like the Russian ballet past tackles, but the clinical finishing in the final third was missing. Decision making was not at it’s best. Fcb equalised on the stroke of half time with a curling effort into the far corner from luigi. 1-1
Half time
The second half proceeded much as the first. Foxy on for Liam and Macca on for Luigi. 3-5-2 was more effective but the bus was well and truly parked.
