It was a tale of two halves as FCB cruised to their second win of the season in as many games, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Las Arcos. The game got underway in Aravaca with Majids´ men kicking from left to right, with several changes to the team that beat Pascual a week earlier.

FCB took the initiative and began on the front foot, applying early pressure and executing excellent passages of play, switching the play and enjoying large spells of possession. The opening goal of the game came in the fifteenth minute, after excellent link up play afforded Majid time on the edge of the box to expertly pick the bottom corner leaving the goalkeeper no chance. 0-1 FCB. The gulf in class continued to prevail as FCB added a second shortly after, with Brazilian magician Pedro getting on to the end of an Edmund cross. 0-2 FCB. The  men in red continued to play excellent football, switching the play and dominating in every area. Centre back Alberto commanded the game from the back, leaving keeper Josue very little to do in the opening half. The goal of the game came on the 40 minute mark, as skipper Zak Harry turned on the edge of the area and curled left footed in to the top corner. An excellent individual effort that put FCB in total control.0-3 FCB. The game was effectively over on the stroke of half time as fantastic work from Luigi on the edge of the 18 gifted Majid  an open net, excellent selfless play from the Italian and the lads went in at half time with a 0-4 lead to protect and build on.

HALF TIME

The second half got underway and FCB continued to dominate, allowing Las Arcos little time or chances go find a way back in to the game. The back four was exceptional and the midfield worked well, protecting and linking up well with the front line.  FCB sealed an excellent performance in the 80th minute, when Hyner.L found the back of the net after an extraordinary 1-2 with the post. 0-5 FCB and game over.

The only criticism can be was that FCB did not capitalise on a host of chances, and were wasteful in front of goal in the second half. However, an excellent team performance and another clean sheet will give FCB  the confidence to approach next weeks encounter with Banco De España with renewed vigour and self belief that they are a team very capable of winning the League.
