Bunwer crush Animales in 5 goal mauling

FCB travelled to Animales seeking to undo the wrongs of three months ago, which precipitated a worrying downturn in form. Buoyed by a fighting performance against Procarton last week, FCB hoped to make it two on the spin and hoist themselves from the foot of the top 12. They lined up: Karim, Ally, Ojo, Kirky and Silky. The midfield three was Michael, Nestor and Josh with Ishmael, Reece and Mark in attack. FCB began brightly, moving the ball well and pinning a ragged Animales back. Michael hit the underside of the bar with a half volley, before going close with a rare right foot effort. The deadlock was broken soon after, when an Animales player turned into his own net a dangerous FCB corner. From here, FCB continued to dominate and missed a spate of chances to increase their advantage. While Karim made some important saves at the back, Animales were struggling to come to terms with the pace of the game. After several good attempts, Marks efforts were rewarded with a fine strike just before half time, which severely wounded Animales.
The second half began in a similar style, although FCB were moving the ball better than in the first half. the game was put to bed after 50 minutes, when Michael unleashed a left footed drive which settled in the roof of the net after good build up play. However, FCB continued to miss chances, and they could have found themselvs pushing for double figures. Some good individual play from Ishmael was rewarded with a cool finish. With the introduction of Adam and Zaxh, FCB had a new dimension to their attack, with the speed and trickery of both causing innumerable problems to a tiring Animales. Five minutes from time, FCB made it five, with Zach turning home a move which had included 7 FCB players to give the game a well deserve gloss.
FCB now have three games remaining, and have a good opportunity to climb towards mid table and finish strongly. Although it may be a season of what might have beens, the goal must now be 9 points to conclude the season.
