Saturday saw Rami Majids´ blue and yellow army retain the Bunwer championship for the first time in 43 years. Knowing that 3 points would seal the deal the Brits swept Bar El Trampolin away, hitting 15 goals without reply in a comprehensive demolition of the league’s basement boys. Kicking from right to left it took less than 5 minutes for FCB to take a one goal lead, with El Capitano Harry tapping in from close range. Two minutes later the lead was doubled after Harry grabbed his second of the game with a cool finish. When Mcleod grabbed his first goal of the season from inside the 18 yard box the proverbial floodgates opened.0-3 FCB. Moments later a superb 25 yard strike from Alberto flew in to the top corner, making it 0-4. Harry grabbed his hat trick seven minutes later after bursting in to the box and dispatching the ball past the keeper. Alberto grabbed his second of the game with some great foot work and a cool finish. Moments later Harry grabbed his fourth of the game. Mellon and Cant added to the tally before half time, meaning the Brits headed in in complete control and 0-9 up.

Wholesale changes were made at half time, and super sub Fox scored with his first touch drilling the ball past the keeper. Harry made it 11 shortly after, before Hyner scored following some great individual play. In the closing minutes both forwards both scored to add further insult to injury, with Harry grabbing his double hat trick and Hyner capping a routine victory off with his hat trick. 0-15 full time. It was an emphatic performance from FCB who finished off the season unbeaten, in the process picking up 15 wins and 2 draws from a possible 17 games.

FCB finished the first half of the season as second highest scorers, bagging 79 goals, averaging over 4.5 goals a game. In contrast Majids´barmy army only conceded 9 goals on the road to the title, that’s one conceded every 1.88 games, by far the divisions best. After Saturdays’ demolition of last placed el Trampolin 43 points separated top and bottom spot. A fantastic half of the season all round.
